– Monasterio de la Encarnación. A monastery founded by Queen Margarita of Austria in the 17th century. It is attached to the Alcazar de Madrid by a passage way and boasts one of the finest collections of religious relics in Europe.
– Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales. Juana of Austria create in the 17th century one of the most spectacular monasteries in central Madrid. Juana de Austria en el siglo XVI crea uno de los monasterios más espectaculares que tiene el centro de Madrid. Austere living and religious art are united in this convent-museum.
– Palacio Real del Pardo
– Palacio Real de Aranjuez and gardens. This fertile floodplain at the convergence of the Tajo and Jarama rivers became the country residence par excellence of the Spanish kings.
